How to get it
Click Get started for free on the Google Cloud free page and complete the Free Trial signup; the trial starts once your identity and payment method are verified.
What it requires
A credit card or other payment method valid for the trial period, and in some countries a bank account check. You must never have been a paying user of Google Cloud, Google Maps Platform, or Firebase, and must not have signed up for the Free Trial before.
The catch
If you do not upgrade before 90 days pass or the $300 is spent, the trial billing account closes and its projects and resources stop. The credit cannot pay for Gemini API in AI Studio costs.

Details
New Google Cloud customers get a $300 Welcome credit to spend over 90 days on Google Cloud products, and they are not billed during the Free Trial. The trial also includes Free Tier usage of 20+ products, such as 1 e2-micro instance per month and 1 TB queries per month in BigQuery, which is not charged against the credit. Upgrading to a Paid billing account ends the trial, but unused credit stays until 90 days from signup.
