Does Midjourney have a free plan?
No. Midjourney's plan comparison page lists only paid subscriptions: Basic, Standard, Pro and Mega. The cheapest is Basic at $10 a month, or $96 a year (checked 2026-10-28).
Which free alternative allows commercial use?
Playground: its free plan states a commercial use license, with up to 10 images every 3 hours. Leonardo gives you a non-exclusive commercial licence, but free creations are public. Recraft and Magnific are personal use only.
Are images made on free plans public?
On Ideogram, Recraft and Leonardo, yes: free creations are public. Ideogram lists private generation as a paid feature. On Midjourney, Stealth Mode (private images) is only on the Pro and Mega plans.
Do these free plans need a credit card?
None of these pricing pages says either way.
